Got out to visit BG. He is still trying to find his place in the herd which when a horse is at the bottom (and he is right now) it makes me a bit sad. However, I also know that in the next month there could be great changes in the herd structure.
Overall, he looked fine. I took off some ticks and put on more Equi-Spot; checked his feed, rasped his front hooves, and fly sprayed him. He got a lot of carrots (the other horses watched from over the fence so he could eat them in peace), and has enough food for the week and more.
I’ll try to get out at least once a week and check on him to make sure he is fine.
Until Z gets home, it has been very quiet on the horse front. And dare I say, a bit boring without her about.
